Three tips for creating better landscape photographs in Maui, Hawaii.

Below are three tips to make better images in Hawaii.

Slow Shutter Speed
  1. A slow shutter speed creates a silky appearance. Set the time you want the shutter to stay open and the depth of field, and change the iso to make the exposure work.
3 stop graduated ND filter

2. Use a graduated neutral density filter to manage light so that the back ground and foreground light levels are more in sync. This way a slow shutter can be used. Motion creates emotion.

Fish eye lens ads a distinctive look

3. Express yourself by using a unique perspective or type of lens. This can be done by using a lower or higher camera angle, as well as a lens that has a curve like this fish eye.
