I am in the midst of packing for Tonga. I will be leading two back to back photography workshops dedicated to humpback whales. We will photograph them from the comfort of a 53 foot sailing catamaran and while snorkeling in the sea.
I will do some presentations and help people set up their cameras for the activities, discuss many composition techniques, critique images and do all I can to put the participants in the right position at the right time so they can capture the action. While the expedition is all about whales if we see dolphins, manta rays, or bait balls ( huge group of bait fish being fed upon) we will get in the water and see what develops.

The next open whale adventure is Sept 4-12th, 2015. It is a live aboard trip with only four guests. It will be a great adventure!
