About the Dive Sites

GAU

We leave Suva for our first place to explore and that is the island of Gau, this is Fiji’s fifth-largest island and part of the Lomaiviti archipelago. Gau has some amazing dive sites covered with the amazing soft corals where Fiji is known for. Around Gau, we will spend one day of diving and we will dive the sites of Nigali passage known for its amazing soft corals and many grey reef sharks, we dive into Jim’s Alley and Anthias Avenue that are soft coral gardens with zillions of reef fish and a few mantas flying around. We will also dive Wakaya and Makogai, both along the edge of the barrier reef that is bordering a 3000ft deep channel that leads to the Vatu-I-Ra passage where sperm and humpback whales are often spotted.

Lau Archipelago

We continue the journey to Lau archipelago and visit and dive around the islands of Kabara, Vaqava, Monothaki, and Ongea before we start the crossing to the islands of Tonga.

Moala and Totoya

From Gau, we will continue our journey to the volcanic Islands of Moala and Totoya. Moala is Fiji's 9th largest island and both are part of the Lau archipelago. Being in the heart of the Koro Sea, the visibility here is unbelievably good and the soft and hard corals are in such a great and healthy condition that's not seen often anymore these days.
