Leaf Me Alone

The little fish are about 2 inches long. The resemble a leaf swaying in the current, and that how they got their name. Thats right, they are leaf fish. In the scorpion family these fish lie still and wait for their prey to come tho them. With cryptic design and texture on their body, these fish disappear into their surroundings are called rightly so called ambush predators.

These are great subjects to look for when doing fish portraits or macro photography. They are not rare but because of their design are able to hide in plain sight.

If interested in learning about fish portraiture or macro photography consider a private workshop.
