In nature, animals that have bright markings, loud colors, hide in plain sight, or use anemones as boxing gloves are letting others know that danger exists.

This is a boxer crab and is smaller than a nickel and is carrying an anemone in its claws as protection.

Some fish develop ornate disguises that enable them to disappear in plain sight. Notice how the crinoid provides an excellent place for the Ornate Ghost Pipe Fish to hide. When hiding next to the crinoid the ghost fish vanishes making it hard for prey to spot it and a bit easier for smaller prey to be found.

Some animals may look like a tasty piece of sushi, but are toxic and would be quite harmful to eat.
