I was recently asked by Michael Aw, the founder of Ocean Geographic to do a program on whales. So, I prepared a presentation and will give it Nov 5th, 2021. The time is 2 PM Hawaii time. The event will be recorded to make it easier for people around the world and in different time zones to view.

I will talk about Tonga, and the whale swim industry. I have led groups there since 2006, and have learned what to do, and what not to do. Just because there are boats with govt., issued licenses and permits does not mean it is easy to swim with whales. Whales are wild animals, not dive sites. Mutual interactions with whales are the result of patience and behaving in a manner that allows the whales to feel comfortable with our presence.
