On the mainland there are photographers that chase storms in the hopes of capturing a tornado with lighting. Here in Hawaii, we don’t get tornados but we do get our fair share of strong winds and rain. Once I saw a waterspout occasionally lightning. What Hawaii does have on story days, are the possibility of rainbows or interesting cloud patterns. This portrait was created a very cloudy day, that felt like it was going to dump rain, but it didn’t. I decided to use the clouds to my advantage and create some black and white portraits. This is an image I will certainly add to the online gallery, in the near future. I love the Turbulent Skies.
